Rachel operates a successful and robust private studio where she and her partner, José, coach mentees of all ages towards their musical goals. Rachel began her journey as an educator over 10 years ago and has a particular skill at meeting students where they are at. Creating a space in each lesson where the student is seen and heard and the student's own ability to be present is increased!
As a coach, Rachel has presented her success as a business and studio owner for music organizations across Chicago to help build musicians path to teaching lessons and maximizing their studios! She has presented the program, Yoga for Musicians; a practice for artists to increase their capacity, connection and endurance. Yoga For Musicians supports the deepening of a musicians' relationship to themselves and their instrument.
Her professional skills in the arts world are vast, managing the Elmhurst University Jazz Festival and maintaining active leadership roles during her time at Elmhurst and post-grad. She attained multiple Board of Director positions in the arts including Publicity Chair, Program Chair, and most recently, Vice Presidentship for a Chicago based music teachers association.
Having guided Sound Journey Meditations/Sound Baths, she discovered the world of music and the subtle are one in the same. Her current creative projects include long form improvisational architecture, exploring sound as a device for meditation.
As a yoga instructor she combines the worlds of music and yoga to workshop “Yoga for Musicians'', a support for deepening a musicians' relationship to themselves and their instrument.

José Guadalupe Flores is an artistic director, coach, and educator from Mexico City that specializes in bringing out the magical in every situation...
José has over 10 years of international teaching experience. Educating musicians from Montego Bay Jamaica to Tokyo Japan. He is an active musical performer that is able to transmit real-life musical skill to his students.
After teaching for more than 10 years, José has mastered the art of adapting to the specific personality of every students he approaches. This approach maximizes the progress of the student often surprising the student with their own growth.
As a coach, José has mentored musicians of all ages to successfully lead their own ensembles and jumpstart their path towards a fulfilling artistic enterprise
While training as a Jazz Multi-instrumentalist in the renowned Elmhurst University Jazz school, José realized that unforgettable artistic experiences must include visual storytelling. The years that followed helped José hone his skills as an artistic leader through a variety of different projects, including directing music videos, guiding the artistic vision for musical ensembles including his own artistic brand 1 Foot IN / 1 Foot OUT and directing multiple live Musical Theater orchestras.
José along with his partner, Rachel, maintain an active studio of students that come back year after year to grow into the strongest artist they can be.
